In the Video Pre-Production course, you will learn how to come up with realistic, engaging and worthwhile video projects, write professional scripts for a variety of project types (narrative, documentary, commercial, A/V), and prepare for successful video shoots through the creation of shot lists, storyboards, schedules and budgets.
Emphasis is placed on the development of short form video concepts for the web. You will develop several concepts, focusing on feasibility and story structure. Then you will visualize your written projects through shot-lists and storyboards as you prepare for production of your videos.
Topics include: concept creations, developing loglines, creating treatments, crafting outlines, formatting scripts and screenplays, formulating shot-lists, drawing storyboards, planning shooting schedules and calculating budgets.
